Thank you so much for exploring this Course on Lucid Dreaming!
My name is Joanna Albrecht and I want to do a quick welcome message to explain why I created this course.
About 30 years ago I started on my path of energy healing. I was working with a Cherokee Medicine Man named Tino ThunderEagle who used to teach me by coming into my dreams and speaking with me.
Now as you might imagine I thought this was super cool! I figured that if he could do it, so could I! So I studied different books about it and found herbs that could assist me and finally after a lot of practice I was able to do it!
I am going to give you my Cliff notes experience of how I first learned lucid dreaming here and then the rest of the course will give you all of the different tips, techniques and tools that you can experiment with. Everyone is different and not all techniques work for all people, so try them out and see what works for you.
When I was first learning lucid dreaming I was experimenting with different herbs for healing. I looked up all of the relaxing and psychic dream herbs and figured if I could lower my inhibitions enough I would feel safe enough to lucid dream. My point of view about superpowers is this… if you can see someone do something, then you can do it too, it’s just a matter of knowing you can and figuring out how and putting in the work.
So I had a routine. Throughout the day I would say to myself…Am I dreaming? Is this a Dream?
And look at my hand. Everyday, at random moments in my day I would question myself. Am I dreaming? Is this a dream? Before I would go to bed at night I would drink a special dream tea and then repeat. I will have a lucid dream. I will remember my dream. Am I dreaming? Is this a dream?
Eventually what happened is one night I asked that question and I was actually in my dream! But I got so excited that I kicked myself out of the dream. So that sucked. But eventually I was able to last in the dream longer and longer by regulating my energy and excitement.
When I was able to have more control in my dreams I started to create intentions, like tonight I want to go visit my friend and ask them a question. And that is exactly what would happen. The next day or a few days later I would ask the friend if they remembered me coming into their dream and they said YES! Here is what we talked about!
Lucid dreaming is real and you can do it. It’s just a matter of practice and sticking with it until you have an experience.
Thanks again for being brave and choosing to learn something new!
Happy Dream Exploration! See you in your dreams!
