Reality Checks

What It Is:
Reality checks are simple tests you perform during the day to determine if you’re dreaming. Over time, these checks become a habit, and you’ll start doing them in your dreams—triggering lucidity!

How to Do a Reality Check:

The Finger-Through-Palm Test – Try pushing a finger through the palm of your other hand. In a dream, your finger may pass through.

The Nose Pinch Test – Pinch your nose and try to breathe. If you can still breathe, you’re dreaming.

Text or Clock Test – Look at text (or a clock), look away, then look back. In a dream, the text/time will often change or appear distorted.

Mirror Test – Look in a mirror. In a dream, your reflection may be strange, shifting, or absent.

How to Practice:
✔ Perform 5-10 reality checks per day (especially when something odd happens).
✔ When doing a check, ask yourself: “Am I dreaming?” and really question it.
✔ Over time, this habit will transfer into your dreams.

 Pro Tip: Set an alarm or wear a special ring/bracelet as a reminder to do reality checks throughout the day.
