What It Is:
WBTB is one of the most effective ways to trigger lucid dreams by briefly waking up during REM sleep, then going back to bed with lucid intentions.
How to Do WBTB:
Set an alarm to wake up 4.5 to 6 hours after you fall asleep.
Stay awake for 20-45 minutes—use this time to read about lucid dreaming or meditate.
As you go back to sleep, repeat to yourself:
“I will recognize when I am dreaming.”
Fall asleep mindfully, keeping the intention to become lucid.
Why It Works:
✔ You’re waking up when your REM sleep is strongest, making lucid dreams more likely.
✔ Your brain stays more active before returning to sleep, improving awareness.
🔹 Pro Tip: Drink a little water before bed so you naturally wake up at the right time!
